HONEY-RAISIN COUSCOUS

For those who love Mediterranean and Middle Eastern kitchen, this one’s a very easy-to-make, tasty and quick meal. This recipe is only a base, feel free to add spices, vegetables or dried fruits to your taste! We like to make it with Black Forest or Pine Honey as it gives an interesting caramel-like taste to the couscous.

INGREDIENTS

For 1 bowl

  • • ¾ cup couscous (dry)
  • • 1 tbsp Black Forest or Pine Honey
  • • 1 tsp salt
  • • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • • ½ cup chicken broth
  • • ½ apple juice or water
  • • a handful of raisins
  • • Vegetables, dried fruits to your taste

Preparation

  1. Bring apple juice and broth to boiling and add all ingredients except for couscous!
  2. Once it’s boiling, turn off heat and add couscous.
  3. Stir it a few times and cover it for 5 minutes.
